| Fabric | Trait |
Description | Made |
POLY 35-75D |
Cheap |
This is the best selling flag fabric, because it's cheap. Novelty flags are usually available only in poly. The thin, poly fabric lasts 3 months in full sun before starting to fray. (It's NOT the wind, it's the sun.) |
China |
SILKY 150D |
Beautiful |
High-grade, "hard" polyester fabric is beautifully lusterous and outlasts THREE poly flags in full sun. Even outlasts sewn flags! "Flies" great in slight breeze. Printed. Our best value. | Taiwan |
| COTTON |
Historical |
Sewn bunting is historically accurate, but rots if left wet for long. Best indoors or be careful to prevent wetness. |
China |
NYLON 300D |
Tough |
Most people think this is the "best" flag, but it doesn't last as long as cheaper, silky flags. Nylon is usually sewn because nylon cloth resists dye, different color cloth is sewn together. Fades early and is too stiff to "fly" well in light breeze. |
China |
TOUGHTEX 600D |
Rugged |
2-ply specialty polyester that lasts well in sun and wind. Not as pretty as silky and too stiff to "fly" as well as silky in light breeze, but is more rugged. Better for higher winds, like 50mph. |
China |

*The "silky" flags are NOT your average polyester flag. This beautiful, lustrous fabric is thicker, more rich and colorfast, and will last at least 9 to 12 months in direct sunshine. This is three times the life of the cheaper flags that you usually find. |
